In May 2011 we were approached by the makers of “4 in a bed” to be part of their TV Program…….In June, just three weeks later, we began filming! It was an opportunity and experience we simply couldn’t turn down. We had great fun and met some lovely people. The show will be aired every evening at 5pm in the week beginning 28th November 2011!

We love Brighton. That’s why we moved here. And we want every guest we have to feel the same.

A couple of years ago we realised two things: that Brighton was where we felt happiest; and that we needed a new challenge. So we put the wheels in motion, and here we are: from teacher and hairdresser to hoteliers.

We wanted our guesthouse to reflect everything we liked about staying in Brighton. Guest in the City therefore takes the best bits of a traditional B&B – a relaxed, friendly service, a central location and of course a top-notch breakfast – and puts them in modern, high-spec surroundings.

The result is a boutique feel without luxury prices. To us, that’s what’s Brighton is all about – finding new things which surprise you and make you smile.

Whatever you need, we’re happy to help We try to strike the balance between being helpful yet unobtrusive. Dan and Mardi (that’s us) are always around or at the end of a mobile phone. So if you need any advice on what’s on in the city, want something special in your room, or have any queries we are always very happy to help.

A breakfast to suit all tastes Whether you like a full-English with all the trimmings, a continental breakfast, or just fruit, cereals and juices we’re confident we have it covered – and we’ll keep bringing it until you’re full.

Not your average B&B experience We appreciate that most people are pretty busy nowadays – so when you get the chance to get away you want a bit of luxury. At Guest and the City you’ll find Egyptian cotton linen, all the toiletries you’ll need, and a few quirky touches to take you back to happy days.

When we stay in hotels we like to check them out first. We read reviews, check the location and – most importantly – we want to see pictures of the rooms. Lots of them. So here they are: guaranteed, non-airbrushed photos of what’s waiting for you at Guest and the City. Complete with descriptions and prices. No surprises (or at least not bad ones), just high-quality accommodation and a warm welcome.

Each room enjoys partial sea views and a stained glass window depicting Brighton scenes. Behind this is a balconette with chairs for you to relax and watch the world go by. Rooms also include a double bed with high quality Egyptian cotton sheets, duvets and soft supportive pillows.
